Accordingly, it is submitted that the representative of the industry informed that there would be negligible process emissions from the furnace wherein the copper/aluminum/brass windings (scrap coils) would be heated.
It was further brought out that VOCs/odorous emissions are generated during heating of windings which are enameled/insulated with solvent/primer just like transformer industries where wire enameling is done and those industries install wet scrubber as APCD for control of emissions generated during wire enameling.
Therefore, the industry has not proposed APCD for control of emissions to be generated during heating of windings/scrap coils.
In view of above facts, CTE applied by the industry shall be refused.
