<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is submitted that earlier the industry was issued notice u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the CEE(B) of the Board on 09.02.2023 in the name and style of M/s Darshan Gera Gram Udyog Samiti (Regd). After hearing, it was decided that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Faridkot to verify the contentions of the industry regarding compliance submitted by the industry during hearing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Faridkot to process the CTO's application or the industry on merits with clear cut recommendations as well as after examining the site suitability.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Faridkot shall visit M/s Krishna Plastics (adjoining unit) personally, within 15 days and to submit a detailed report alongwith conclusive recommendations.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for premises-II in the name of M/s Gela Ram Prem Kumar for manufacturing of murabba @ 150kg/day, vinegar @ 40kg/day, pickle @ 270 kg/day & sharbat @ 110 kg/day.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The application of the industry has been examined and observed that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo4;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has been established in the year 1999 and has submitted certificate from DTP, Faridkot vide letter no. 767 dated 22.07.2022 as per which it has been mentioned that the industry falls under industrial spot zone as per Draft Master Plan, Faridkot as such the site of the industry is suitable for establishment of the unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo4;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed ETP @ 5 KLD for treatment of effluent generated from this unit as well as from sister concerned unit M/s Gela Ram Prem Kumar, which is based on batch treatment process with components as screen chamber, Oil & grease chamber, Equalization tank, Clari-flocculator, holding tank, sand filter & carbon filter, storage tank. The industry has provided arrangement for treatment of treated effluent for flushing as well as floor cleaning. The industry has submitted completion certificate from M/s Aditya Hi-Tech, Kotkapura, Distt. Faridkot. Since the effluent of the industries (M/s Darshan gram udyog Samiti & M/s Gela ram Prem Kumar) is very less and intermittent hence the ETP with secondary treatment as aeration system is not feasible.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by RO FDK on 27.02.2023 and it was reported that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The unit was in operation during visit and engaged in the manufacturing of pickles.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry M/s Darshan Gram UdyogSamiti has now installed common ETP of capacity 5 KLD for treatment of effluent generated from the process of industry as well as subject cited unit M/s Gela Ram Prem Kumar. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has not installed any boiler / furnace etc.and engaged in the manufacturing of pickles.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Further the industry has submitted undertaking that the ETP @ 5KLD will be installed in the premises of this unit and will also treat effluent of the sister concerned unit M/s Gela Ram Prem Kumar however the responsibility lies with M/s Darshan Gera Gram Udyog Samiti (Regd.) for functioning of the unit. Also the industry has submitted that no effluent except the domestic effluent will be discharged and whole of the effluent after treatment will be used for floor washing/ flushing etc. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has also submitted undertaking mentioning revised raw material and products and also stated that the earlier mentioned raw material and products were incorrect. (copy enclosed).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>If approved the industry may be granted CTO under the provisions of the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of murabba @ 150kg/day, vinegar @ 40kg/day, pickle @ 270 kg/day & sharbat @ 110 kg/day using Amla/Harar/Carrot/Apple/Beil/Bans/Karonda/Papaya @ 111 Kg/day, mango/lime/ chillies/dela/carrot/ gobi/ karela/Amla/ adraklassan @220 Kg/day, acetic acid concentrate@ 1.5 kg/day, spices@ 20 kg, oil @10 kg, sugar 97 kg, preservatives @350 gm <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and fruit juices @ 25kgs as raw material for a period upto 30.09.2027 with usual conditions and special conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall obtain registration for Brand Owners under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 within 2 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall treat its entire trade effluent in the ETP installed at sister concerned unit at M/s Darshan Gram Udyog Samiti (Regd) and shall not discharge any of its effluent except domestic effluent.</span></p>
