Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide no. CTOW/Varied/JAL/2019/9318450 dated 06.06.2019 valid upto 30.06.2023 and Vide no. CTOA/Varied/JAL/2019/9317918 dated 06.06.2019 valid upto 30.06.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board. The industry has deposited Rs, 108000/- vide R.No. 42/4535 dated 20.05.2019 and Rs. 57600/- vide UTR no. P083230229670066 dated 24.03.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs, 108000/- vide R.No. 41/4535 dated 20.05.2019 and Rs. 58100/- (Including Rs. 500/- as application form fee) vide UTR no. P083230229669570 dated 24.03.2023 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs, 10800/- vide R.No. 40/4535 dated 20.05.2019 NOC fees which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry was visited by officer of this office on 06.04.2023 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit. The industry has installed lead melting furnaces, plate mixtures, lead mixtures and oxide plants with common wet scrubber as APCD. The industry has also installed grid casting machines with bag house as APCD. The industry has installed battery charging process. The industry has installed 2 nos. D.G sets of capacity 350 KVA with canopies and adequate stack height. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has already submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories, Punjab.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board.
