<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry is a large scale orange category spinning unit and has been granted Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974, valid upto 31/03/2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2019/11594119 dated 09/12/2019 valid upto 31/03/2023 with certain conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for Renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981. The industry has already deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There was no source of trade effluent. Only domestic effluent was being generated and same was being utilized partly onto land for plantation and partly for flushing in residential colony after treating through STP. The effluent sample was collected from the outlet of STP and as per analysis report various parameters are within the prescribed limit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has installed four D.G sets with adequate stack heights. All the DG sets are placed in acoustically treated room. The industry has also provided filters to control the emission of fly/fluff in the processing shed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The site of industry falls in Industrial Zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana vide DTP letter no. 252 dated 27.01.2014.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of the above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 with suitable conditions, please.</p>
