<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/19197880 dated 03-08-2022 having validity upto 31-03-2023 for manufacturing of Samosa, Laddu, Gulab Jaman, Mathi, Burfi, etc @ 300 Kgs/day by using Milk, Khoya, Paneer, Vegetables, Sugar, Besen, Maida, Atta, Suji, Khas khass, Ground nut oil, Desi ghee, Refined oil etc. @ 800 Kgs/day, subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 1.5in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) within its premises and will not use any SUP items banned in accordance with MoEF&CC notification no. G.S.R. 571(E) dated 12.08.2021.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.5in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry will get the sample of effluent after septic tank analysed from NABL approved lab and submit report to Board within 1 month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 1.5in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry will not install / use any Chullas which are fired other than electricity and gas, in any circumstance.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was also applied under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry was issued show-cause notice for refusal of Consent to Operate applied under Air Act, 1981 vide this office letter no. 108 dated 11.01.2023 with an opportunity of 7 days to submit reply. The industry vide clarification dated 21.01.2023 submitted reply of the show cause notice which was found to be unsatisfactory. After that the application for fresh consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was refused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and fresh consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, with same production capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted its CA certificate mentioning increase in its fixed assets from Rs. 45 lakh to 46 lakh as on 28/02/2023. As per the record, the previous consent to operate fees under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 is valid upto 31.07.2024 and consent fees under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is valid upto 30.09.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has now deposited Rs. 8800/- vide online R. no. 393370762 dated 12/04/2023 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 8800/- vide online R. no. 491543589 dated 12/04/2023 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The consent fee deposited by the industry is now adequate upto 31/12/2027 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is adequate upto 31/12/2027 after adjustment of water consent fees into air act.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The site of the project was visited by AEE of this office on 10.04.2023 and during visit, it was observed that:</span></p>

The industry has installed hood on entire LPG fired bhattis and fugitive emission were capture in common duct line and discharge into atmosphere.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed upto 31.12.2027 and fresh consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 31.12.2027 with suitable conditions.</span></p>
