As per the record maintained by the industry for the CR strips production line (pickling section), the industry is getting an average of 24 KL of effluent at ETP inlet. The effluent to the ETP outlet is almost same on average. Out of this 24 KL of effluent reaching the ETP outlet and into RO feed, the quantity of RO permeate is approx.. 20-21 KLD and the quantity of RO permeate is nearly 2 to 3 KLD.</span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';"><span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; text-indent: -28.3333px;">2. As far as the compliane of&nbsp;</span>decision of meeting dated 21-12-2021 is concerned, it is submitted that . the decision was for all surface finishing units generating more than 150 KL/mpnth and time already expired. Through, the industry has provided ZLD system for electroplating and rinsing effluent from pickling section, however, the industry has not provided any treatment facility for spent acid (HCL based) and is getting the same lifting to CETP operator. <span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; text-indent: -21.25pt;">The industry has got lifted 179 KL, 205 KL and 212 KL of spent acid (HCL based) to CETP operator in the month of Month of December, 2022, January, 2023 &amp; February, 2023 which is in non-compliance to the decision taken in the meeting dated 21.12.2021.</span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; text-indent: -21.25pt;">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: normal; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 35.45pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; text-indent: -21.25pt;">As the CETP is already operating on nearly exhausting capacity and as such, such large units are required to be dissociated from the CETP operator which will result in&nbsp; relase of sufficient capacity for small / tiny scale unit. Further, as the industry has not complied with the decision of the meeting dated 21.12.2021 and is getting more than 150 KL/month of spent acid lifted to CETP operator. As such, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry with an oppertunity of personal hearing before the Competent Authority, please.</span></p>
