<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/TRT/2022/19421611 dated 19/09/2022 valid up to 31/03/2023 with suitable terms and conditions. <span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents. Details of the case are as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has already submitted a CA certificate of Rs. 34.78 as on 31.03.2022. The industry has already deposited Rs. 2,18,900 /- vide UTR No. SBIN322220803346 dtd 08/08/2022 (Rs 2,10,000/- as consent fee under Water Act, 1974, Rs 500/- as application form fee and Rs 8400/- as NOC regularization fee), which are adequate up to 30/09/2027 under both Acts. <span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has submitted extended bank guarantee bearing no. 11201LG040119 amounting to Rs. 05 lacs, with validity upto 28.09.2023, as an assurance to comply with the decisions of personal hearing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The industry was visited by officers of the Board 05.04.2023 and observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry was in operation for finishing of industrial valves and fitting manufacturing of via cutting, welding,</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has installed 04 no. electric furnaces for heating of castings. The industry has installed 01 no. shot blasting machine within built bag filter house as APCD.<span> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>3.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The process involved in the finishing of Industrial valves are shot blasting, machining, heating, welding, assembling, hydro-testing and spray painting.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>4.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has provided separate booth for spray painting process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>5.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has installed sewerage treatment plant and the same was inline however not in operation as per requirement. The industry has installed flow meter at the outlet of STP<span style="color: red;">.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>6.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The industry has submitted record for operation of STP, wherein the average treated water from outlet of STP is about 15 KLD to 20 KLD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.25in; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The industry is complying with the conditions of consent granted earlier under Water Act, 1974. The industry falls in Orange category in the Large scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Chief Environmental Engineer of the Board.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.25in; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry up to 30/09/2027 with usual conditions and special condition that the industry shall get its effluent sample analyzed from Board’s Lab within one month.</span></p> |
