CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2019/9990809 dated 26/06/2019 valid upto 31/01/2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2019/9990777 dated 26/06/2019 valid upto 31/01/2023, with suitable conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 1.0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 20.1pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry shall dispose of its entire trade effluent to the CETP operator, Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 1.0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 20.1pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry shall maintain the record of fresh water consumption in the process viz-a-viz the wastewater lifted by CETP operator on daily basis and shall submit the monthly report of the same to E.E., R.O., SAS Nagar by the 7th of each month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 1.0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 20.1pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry shall not discharge any treated / untreated trade effluent into any choe/drain/nallah/river etc. directly or indirectly under any circumstances.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 20.1pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Thereafter, the industry had applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 which was refused and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2023/21054940 dated 12/02/2023 having valid upto 31/03/2027, for manufacturing of Self-Thread Screw @ 250.0 Kgs/day, Machine Thread Screw @ 500.0 Kgs/day, Washers @ 50 Kgs/day, Nuts @ 500 Kgs/day, subject to certain conditions as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 20.1pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry was visited by undersigned of this office and found that the industry is not complying with the provision of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and failed to comply with the conditions of consent to operate earlier granted to it under the said Act. Therefore, the industry was served show cause notice for refusal of renewal of consent to operate applied under the Water Act, 1974 alongwith an opportunity to submit reply within 7-days vide Board’s letter no. 1114-15 dated 13/2/2023. The reply submitted by the industry was scrutinized and it was found that the industry has not submitted any reply regarding plugging of bye-pass in the pipeline carrying wastewater into effluent collection tank as a result of which wastewater was being bye-passed into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 20.1pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, with same production capacity. The industry has submitted its CA certificate mentioning the cost of the fixed assets of Rs.17.54 lakh as on 31/03/2022, which is remaining same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 20.1pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">As per the record, the industry had already deposited Rs. Rs. 11,220/- vide UTR no. AXISF23030097118 dated 30.01.2023 under Water Act, 1974 (linked with App. ID. 21054945), which is adequate upto 31.01.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 20.1pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 12/04/2023 and during visit it was observed that:</span></p>

During visit, the effluent was noted upto 5’ height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 1.25in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 20.1pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">As per the record, the industry has disposed off total 8000 ltr effluent in the month of February & March, 2023 on 13.2.2023 @5000Ltr 1.03.2023 @ 3000 and 23.03.2023 @ 5000 ltr.</span></p>
