<p>The Regional Office reported that VOCs/ odorous emissions are generated during heating of windings which are enameled/ insulated with solvent/ primer just like transformer industries where wire enameling is done and those industries install wet scrubber as APCD for control of emissions generated during wire enameling. The industry has not proposed APCD for control of emissions to be generated during heating of windings/scrap coils. I am is also of the view that the industry is required to install APCD for the process emissions to be generated from the heating of wires, due to which the application made by the industry for its establishment was refused.</p>
<p>In my view this application is required to be returned as the industry has not proposed any APCD for its process emissions.</p>
