<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renew/RPN/2022/19363716 dated 23-09-2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renew/RPN/2022/19363331 dated 23-09-2022, both were valid upto 31/03/2023 for only handling and transit activities of Clinker @ 20,000 MT/Day, Coal @ 20,000 MT/Day, Gypsum @ 20,000 MT/Day and Red Ochre/Iron Ore/Bauxite @ 20,000 MT/Day subject to the suitable conditions and additional conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith compliance of previous consent conditions <strong>(attached alongwith)</strong>, Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Report, Stack Emission Monitoring Report and Ambient Noise Level Monitoring Report.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has submitted the CA certificate dated 17.02.2023, wherein, the value of fixed assets of the industry as on 31.01.2023 is of Rs. 4393.10 lakhs with value of plant & machinery is Rs. 1439.52 lakhs. </span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">As per the record file, the industry has deposited consent to operate fee under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 which was adequate upto 31.03.2028 as per circular dated 29.10.2018. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, the industry has also submitted ambient air quality monitoring report, ambient noise level monitoring report & stack emission monitoring report of various sampling points collected in the month of December, 2022 by M/s J.M. Envirolab Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram approved laboratory from MoEF&CC and the same are <strong>attached alongwith</strong> and are</span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"> conforming to the prescribed standards.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">Further, the site was visited along with EE on 13.04.2023 and Sh. Arvind Kushwaha, Env. Officer was contacted. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

The unit has also provided a shed for the storage of fly ash.</span></p>

The wastewater overflow is then taken to a settling tank for re-circulation.</span></p>

The green buffer/trees provided by the unit along the boundaries of the unit seem adequate to control the dust emissions.</span></p>

The unit has stopped using the railway sliding since 08.08.2019.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, it is pertinent to mention here that the industry has extended its bank guarantee of Rs. 20.00 lakhs vide no. 240GT02190320012 which is valid upto 31.01.2024 and bank guarantee of Rs. 3.00 lakhs vide no. 240GT02230370017 which is valid upto 31.12.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 31.03.2028 subject to the suitable conditions and following additional conditions:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry shall apply for obtaining written permission from the Board at least 30 days in advance before the Environmental Engineer, Regional office, Roopnagar if it intends to operate the Railway Siding at Kiratpur Sahib.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 18.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry shall lay concrete roads on all the internal movement roads i.e. leading to fly ash storage yard, un-loading hoppers and clinker storage silos.</span></p>
