Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide no. CTOW/Renewal/JAL/2016/3983712 dated 15.12.2016 valid upto 30.06.2021 and Vide no. CTOA/Renewal/JAL/2016/3983699 dated 15.12.2016 valid upto 30.06.2021 for trade effluent @ 0.2 KLD.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 1.0cm;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board. The industry has deposited Rs, 97200/- vide R.No. KKBKH23069681495 dated 10.03.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs, 101800/- (Including Rs. 4100/- as NOC fee and Rs. 500/- as application form fee) vide R.No. KKBKH23069684115 dated 10.03.2023 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 1.0cm;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has submitted that the industry has closed down the process of phosphate and has also cancelled agreement made with CETP since long back.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 1.0cm;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry was visited by officer of this office on 17.04.2023 and it was observed that the industry was not in operation during visit. The industry has installed grid casting furnace with batteries charging section installed with common wet scrubber as APCD. The industry has installed one D.G set of capacity 82 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. There is no source of generation of trade effluent as the industry has removed phosphating section. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has already submitted approved building plan from Director of Factories.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; margin: 1.85pt 7.15pt .0001pt 1.0cm;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions and with special condition that the industry will get its stack emission sample analyzed from Board’s Lab within 01 month.
