<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry is large scale red category dyeing unit. It was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18081053 dated 04/04/2022, upto 31/03/2027<span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2019/9667008 dated 06/05/2019, upto 31/03/2023 for using pet coke and rice husk as fuel in its one package boiler of capacity 08 TPH attached with multi cyclone separator followed by double stage alkali scrubber along with adequate stack height and 04 DG sets of capacities one of 600 KVA, one of 400 KVA, one of 300 KVA, one of 200 KVA, which are provided with canopies alongwith adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS on 20.03.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">The industry has deposited consent fee Rs. 2,53,700/- vide R.No. 754359571 dated 20.03.2023 under the Air Act, 1981 against the gross value of fixed assets Rs. 2384.45 Lacs and plant & machinery Rs. 1817.41 Lacs as on 30.09.2022. The consent fee is adequate upto 31.03.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 11.04.2023 and it was observed as under:- </span></p>

The boiler is attached with multi cyclone separator followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD.</span></p>

The industry informed that alkali scrubber is only made in operation as and when pet coke is used as fuel. </span></p>

As per analysis report received from Air & Water Lab, Ludhiana, the concentration of SPM=397 mg/NM3 is within the permissible limits of the Board. During sampling the industry was using rice husk as fuel. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions with special condition the industry will make <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">agreement regarding the disposal of the ash with the suitable person/agency and submit the same to the Board within one month</span>.</span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"> </span></p>
