CTOW/Renewal/JAL/2018/7463489 dated 16.05.2018 valid upto 30.06.2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/JAL/2018/7463459 dated 16.05.2018 valid upto 30.06.2023 for C.I. Castings @ 144 MT/year.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 151%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->Now the cupola furnace has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 151%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The cupola furnace has deposited Rs. 9000/- vide UTR No. SBIN523095917044 dated 05.04.2023 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 1100/- vide UTR No. SBIN523095917044 dated 05.04.2023 as NOC fee through IMPS.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 151%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->Rs. 9000/- vide UTR No. SBIN523095915224 dated 05.04.2023 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The fee adequacy is valid upto 30.06.2028.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 151%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->As per office order issued by the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Head Office, Patiala vide letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016 and as per decision of officer meeting held at Head<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Office Patiala on 08.05.2018 that all the industries under orange and green category shall be processed on the basis<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>documents<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>submitted<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>by<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>industry without site verification.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 151%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has not been visited and on the basis of documents submitted by the industry along with application, it has been observed that the industry is an orange category cupola furnace unit and has installed 01 no. cupola furnace of capacity 2 TPH with water scrubber as APCD and 01 no. shot blasting machine 01 TPD with in-built bag filter house as APCD. The domestic effluent is discharged into M.C. Drain and cooling water is re-circulated. The industry has submitted compliance report to the consent conditions earlier granted to it.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText2" style="line-height: 150%;"><strong><u><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif';">Recommendations:- </span></u></strong></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 96.4pt; line-height: 151%; margin: .35pt 15.35pt .0001pt 11.6pt;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with suitable conditions and special conditions that: -</p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">A.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The consent to operate has been granted based on the documents submitted by the industry, if at any later stage the document submitted is found falls/misleading than the industry may be liable for necessary action as per Board’s policy.</p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">B.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall abide by the zoning regulations of the Master Plan in place and shall shift its unit if required as per provisions of the Master Plan and<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the grant of consent by the Board will not vest any right on the industry w.r.t. other stipulations by any authority or the zoning regulations of the master plan.</p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">C.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall not add any manufacturing process which will generate trade effluent without obtaining prior permission from the Board.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">D.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall not make any expansion inside the present premises without obtaining prior permission from the Board.</p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">E.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall properly operate its air pollution control device to achieve the amended emission standard, if any amendment made.</p>
