CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/19086587 dated 04.08.2022 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2022/19086581 dated 04.08.2022, both having validity upto <u>31/03/2023</u> for operation of Waste Segregation Plant capacity @ 400 Metric Tonnes/Day, subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0.2pt 6pt 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, for operation of Waste segregation Plant @ 400 MTD, as products, along with requisite document. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-right: 0.2pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> As per the record, earlier, the industry had deposited consent fee, which was valid upto 28.02.2025. Now, the industry has deposited Rs.</span> <span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">43200 vide UTR. no. CMS3115661505 dated 10.02.2023 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 43700 vide UTR. no. CMS3115661508 dated 10.02.2023 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Thus, the fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2028, for both the Acts against the fixed assets of Rs. 1.60 cr. as on 06.02.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 6pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><strong><u><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Visit:</span></u></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0.2pt 6pt 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif'; color: red;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 13.04.2023 and it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The plant was not in operation. The representative of the industry informed that the plant is made operational only for couple of hours in the morning due to less inflow of waste.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The representative of the industry informed that they have executed agreement only with MC Nayagoan for lifting of solid waste and no agreement has been made with any other MC. The industry has submitted a copy of the work order/agreement issued to them by MC Nayagoan vide letter no. 235 dated 01.03.2023 for lifting of solid waste. The said agreement has tenure of 03 years. A copy of the said agreement is attached herewith for perusal please.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Segregated waste, i.e. waste plastic was found stored in dedicated area outside the main processing shed and compost (i.e. segregated bio-degradable waste) was found stored in 05 no. pits under the shed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has install one big size trommel machine and another small size segregation machine, for the segregation of the solid waste.</span></p>

The representative informed that the collected leachate shall be sprayed over the compost for moisture maintenance to accelerate the composting process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The unit has provided 05 no. big size compost pits for the Wet waste. The representative of the industry informed that they shall install another machine for even more fines screening of wet waste to make the same easily usable by farmers.</span></p>
