<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renew/LDH1/2022/18306908 dated 02.05.2022 valid upto 01.11.2022 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renew/LDH1/2022/18306999 dated 02.05.2022 valid upto 01.11.2022 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day for short term of six months subject to suitable conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry will not manufacture, stock, distribute, recycle, sell or use plastic carry bags in compliance to the Government of Punjab, Department of Local Government notification no. 5/18/2016-4lg4/ 692717/1 dated 18.02.2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall comply with the provisions of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall submit a copy of the action plan endorsed by the Secretary in charge of Urban Development of the Punjab State for setting of plastic waste management system within one month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall obtain registration under rule 13 of the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 within one month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was also restored the electric supply for short term of six months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thereafter, the industry was again applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renew/LDH1/2022/20247224 dated 09.11.2022 valid upto 08.05.2023 and CTOA/Renew/LDH1/2022/20246643 dated 09.11.2022 valid upto 08.05.2023 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day for Domestic Effluent @ 0.3KLD (into sewer).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> Now the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day for Domestic Effluent @ 0.3KLD (into sewer) along with requisite documents and fees with request for permanent restoration of electric connection.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> The industry has submitted Latest CA Certificate regarding value of Fixed Assets as on 30-09-2022, Compliance report of previous Conditions. The documents submitted by the industry may kindly be perused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by the undersigned on 15.04.2023 and observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 60.75pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.75pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was in operation during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 60.75pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.75pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 2 no. extruders, 4 no. printing machines, 4 cutting machines. The industry is using virgin granules only for manufacturing of industrial packing (plastic).</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 60.75pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.75pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">No stock of carry bags was found stored in industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 60.75pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.75pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed DG set of capacity 82.5 KVA which is equipped with canopy & stack of adequate height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above, May if approved, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day may be granted to the industry upto 31.12.2028 and electric connection may also be restored to the industry for permanently, as during last three visits on 31.03.2022, 31.10.2022 and 15.04.2023, the industry was found complying.</span></p>
