<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale Green category unit and was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renew/LDH1/2022/20248073 dated 09.11.2022 valid upto 08.05.2023 and CTOA/Renew/LDH1/2022/20247669 dated 09.11.2022 valid upto 08.05.2023 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day for Domestic Effluent @ 0.25KLD (into sewer) with conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day for Domestic Effluent @ 0.25KLD (into sewer). Accordingly, consent fee is adequate upto 31/12/2028 under each Act, as per office order dated 29/10/2018 with request to permanent restoration of electric connection.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> The industry was visited by the undersigned on 15.04.2023 and observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed 3 no. extruders, 2 cutting machines. The industry is using virgin granules (plastic) only for manufacturing of industrial packing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No trade effluent is being generated by the industry & domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No DG set is installed by the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Further, the industry is located in the designated Industrial Area-A of Ludhiana city.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No DG set is installed by the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Further, the industry is located in the designated Industrial Area-A of Ludhiana city.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">In view of above, May if approved, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of industrial packing for tube & bags @ 500 Kg/day may be granted to the industry upto 31.12.2028 and electric connection may also be restored to the industry for permanently, as during last three visits on 31.03.2022, 31.10.2022 and 15.04.2023, the industry was found complying.</span></p>
