<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 4.9pt 0.0001pt 14.35pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.65pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Earlier the industry was granted consent to establish (NOC for first time) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of PLASTIC FLAKES @ 18 MTD by using ALL TYPE OF PLASTIC (LDPE, PET, HDPE, PP, PS, PVC, OTHER) @ 18 MTD with special conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 4.9pt 0.0001pt 14.35pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.65pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 after completing the construction work.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 4.9pt 0.0001pt 14.35pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.65pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The applicant has filled online application form, uploaded CA certificate, site plan location plan, rent deed and the industry has deposit consent fee which is adequate for one year.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 14.35pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.65pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">In order to verify the application form, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on<span style="letter-spacing: 0.05pt;"> </span>18.04.2023 and it was<span style="letter-spacing: 0.05pt;"> </span>observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation during the visit and is located at Industrial Area-A, Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is engaged in manufacturing of plastic flakes from waste plastic with the help of shredder machine.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed 1 shredder which is electrically operated.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has not started any operation, only machinery i.e. shredder was lying at site.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.2pt 0.0001pt 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">There is no generation of trade effluent, only domestic effluent is generated which is discharge into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 5.2pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; color: red;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 5.15pt 0.0001pt 40.5pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to operate under <span style="letter-spacing: 0.05pt;">the </span>Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for short term i.e. 30.06.2022 with suitable terms and conditions and with special conditions that industry shall obtained registration on EPR portal within 2 months.</span></p>
