It is submitted that earlier, the hospital was granted renewal of Authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Fresh/ASR/2018/7161741 dated 15/03/2018, which is valid up to 28/02/2023 (Hospital @ 10 Beds).           Now, the hospital has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (for hospital @ 22 beds and domestic effluent @ 8 KLD) along with Bed Capacity Certificate, Agreement BMW, Building Plan and Proprietorship Certificate.           <a name="_Hlk86673810"></a>The hospital has deposited Rs. 7,000/- vide UTR/Ref. No. AXSK230970005052 dtd 07/04/2023, Rs. 12,000/- vide UTR No. BARBT23010667654 dtd 10/01/2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs 8,000/- vide UTR No. AXSK230970005204 dtd 07/04/2023 as penalty under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 2,000/- (Rs 1000/- vide BARBT23010599974 dtd 10/01/2023 & Rs 1000/- vide UTR No. AXSK230970005341 dtd 07/04/2023) as NOC Regularization fee, Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. BARBT23010590480 dtd 10/01/2023 as application form fee, and Rs 7,000/- vide UTR No. AXSK230970005001 dated 07/04/2023, Rs 12,000/- vide UTR No. BARBT23010595855 dtd 10/01/2023 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs 8,000/- vide UTR no. AXSK230970005192 dtd 07/04/2023 as penalty under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate up to 30/09/2028.           The Hospital was visited by officer of this office on 18/04/2023 and observed as under:- 1.    The Hospital comprising of 22 beds and is engaged in providing medical health services. 2.    The hospital has installed water treatment equipment in Laboratory and Operation Theatre with the help of Sodium Hypochlorite Solution. 3.    The hospital has maintained the record of Bio-Medical Waste. 4.    The hospital has installed D.G. sets of capacity 30 KVA & 70 KVA, which are fitted with canopies.           It is further intimated that the hospital is complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The hospital is having bed capacity of 22 beds and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer.           In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the HCF up to 30/09/2027 subject to usual conditions and along with special conditions as under:- 1.            The HCF will submit the waste water analysis report to the Board, within 02 months, where STP at terminal end is installed. 2.            The HCF will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.
