<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is intimated that the service station is engaged in washing & servicing of TVS two wheeler ((Scooters/motor cycle/Scooty etc). The service station was earlier granted Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH4/2018/7794633 dated 19.07.2018 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH4/2018/7794543 dated 19.07.2018, both were valid up to 30.09.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the service station has applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The service station has deposited fee amounting Rs. 38500/- vide R.no. N055232344507293 dated 24.02.2022 and Rs. 36900/- vide R.no. N055232344487164 dated 24.02.2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate up to 30.09.2032 (after deducting penalty and NOC fee). </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">To verify the facts, the service station was visited by this office on 12.04.2023 and it was observed as under:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">1. The service station is a showroom-cum-workshop of two wheelers and authorized by M/s TVS and is engaged in washing & servicing of TVS two-wheeler ((Scooters/motor cycle/Scooty etc). </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">2. The service station has installed ETP for treatment of trade effluent. The treated effluent is being collected in collection tank from where it is partially discharged into sewer and partially reused for washing purpose. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">3. The ETP was in operation during visit and the effluent sample was collected from inlet and final outlet from the ETP and sent to Zonal Lab, Jalandhar for analysis and the report of the same is awaited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">4. The service station has maintained Water meter and energy meter record.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">5. The service station has also installed water meter at final outlet of ETP, whose reading was 3187.95 KL. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">6. The service station has not installed DG set in the premises of workshop. The representative of service station told that in case of electric failure, the power supply is taken from DG set installed at their adjoining petrol pump, where one DG set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height is available. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">7. The service station has not installed submersible pump in the premises of workshop. The representative of service station told that one common submersible pump has installed in the premises of their adjoining petrol pump. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The service station is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be decided to grant up to 30.09.2027 after co-relating the sample analysis report with usual conditions as per policy of the Board and special conditions.</span></p> |
