<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">It is submitted that the industry was given personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board on 12.09.2022 u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Wherein, it was decided as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-left: 27pt; text-indent: -27pt; line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">The consent applied under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be renewed for a period recommended by Regional office, Rupnagar.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-left: 27pt; text-indent: -27pt; line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">Environmental Engineer, Regional office, Rupnagar shall personally visit the site of the industry/railway siding within 7 days and shall submit her recommendations immediately thereafter.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-left: 27pt; text-indent: -27pt; line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">The industry shall be given another opportunity of personal hearing after the receipt of report/recommendations from Regional office, Rupnagar to conclude the matter.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-left: 27pt; text-indent: -27pt; line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="line-height: 130%;">The decision on the fate of Bank Guarantees submitted by the industry shall be made after receipt of the report/ recommendations from the Regional Office, Rupnagar.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 130%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 130%; background: white;">Further, consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renew/RPN/2022/19363716 dated 23-09-2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renew/RPN/2022/19363331 dated 23-09-2022, were renewed upto 31/03/2023</span> in compliance of decision no. 1. </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 130%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; background: white;">As per the note of the Regional Office, Rupnagar, it has been recommended to renew the consents upto 31.03.2028. </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="line-height: 130%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 130%; background: white;">It is pertinent to mention here that the industry has extended its bank guarantee of Rs. 20.00 lakhs vide no. 240GT02190320012 which is valid upto 31.01.2024 and bank guarantee of Rs. 3.00 lakhs vide no. 240GT02230370017 which is valid upto 31.12.2023.</span> However, no recommendation regarding deciding the fate of Bank Guarantees has been recommended by Regional Office. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%; background: white;">In view of the above, may if approved, Regional Office, Rupnagar be requested to submit clear cut recommendations/compliance regarding the decisions of hearing given to the industry on 12.09.2022 so that the fate of bank guarantees be decided.</span></span></p> |
