<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry was earlier granted consent to establish (NOC) dated 31.08.2020 valid upto 03.08.2021 by PBIP under small scale for installation of 02 no. induction furnaces of capacity 1.5 TPH each, 03 no. Shot Blasting machines & 02 no. Paint booths.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt;"> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. As per agenda note, the industry was visited by officer on 29.03.2023 and observed that the industry has installed 02 nos. induction furnaces of capacity 1.5 ton/heat each with Gravity Dust Settling Chamber followed by Cyclone Separator followed by Multi Cyclone Separator, Bag Filter house as APCD as per design of PSCST, Chandigarh, issued vide no. PSCST/TED/765 dated 14.03.2023. The industry has also installed 02 no. shot blasting machines with bag filter house as APCD. The project proponent has uploaded a certificate issued by STP Jalandhar vide memo No. 886 dated 20.03.2020 regarding change of land use of site measuring 3.94 acres falling at village Dhogri Distt Jalandhar for setting up industry. The industry has submitted building plan approved by competent person under Factory Act.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As per CA certificate, the cost of plant and machinery is Rs 1788.10 Lacs, as such the industry falls under medium scale.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2026 with usual conditions & special conditions that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall operate air pollution control device (APCD) regularly and efficiently to achieve the prescribed norms.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: PA;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry will submit air emission sample analysis report of the furnaces analyzed by the Board’s lab within 03 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not use any un-authorized fuel and shall use fuel only for which consent is granted by the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall appoint dedicated staff for operation / maintenance of APCD / collection system, within one month. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall implement the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prepared by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology for APCD in toto so as to achieve the prescribed standards on a regular basis.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that hazardous wastes of all categories are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized companies by executing agreements and shall maintain all the records as per provisions of the HWM Rules.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">10)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. </span><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; color: black; mso-bidi-language: PA;">(Competency:- CEE-J).</span></p>
