The service station was earlier granted consent under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act 1981 both valid upto 30.06.2021.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The service station had shifted its unit from existing location to a new location across the road approx. 100 mtr ahead and was given personal hearing before SEE on 14/09/2022 and during hearing it was decided that Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall visit the service station to seal the washing section of the industry within 03-days and ensure that the service station shall operate the unit only after obtaining consent to establish (NOC)/consent to operate of the Board & submit the report in the matter. Accordingly, the service station was visited by officer of RO on 29.09.2022 and the washing section was sealed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the service station has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith request letter dated 14.02.2023 to de-seal washing section of the service station. As per agenda note, the service station was visited by officer on 12.04.2023 and during visit the service station was not in operation as washing section was lying sealed. The service station has installed 1 no D.G set of capacity 10 KVA with canopy. The industry has already submitted building plan approved from competent person under Factory Act, Punjab.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; tab-stops: 200.15pt;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that</span><span style="text-indent: -1cm; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="text-indent: -1cm; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%;">Consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with suitable conditions and with special conditions that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 2.0cm; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 11pt;">1)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 11pt;">The industry shall ensure that hazardous wastes of all categories are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized companies by executing agreements and shall maintain all the records as per provisions of the HWM Rules.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 2.0cm;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 2.0cm;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 2.0cm;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. (Competency:- SEE-J) </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo3; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 2.0cm;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt;">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
