CTOA/Fresh/LDH3/2020/11291451 dated 07.01.2020 and under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/14578033 102.03.2021 for 190 no. of beds, both are valid upto 31.03.2023. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 24.0pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d;">Thereafter the HCF was visited on 01.11.2022 by the undersigned and carried out effluent sampling from the outlet of ETP-cum-STP, analysis report of the same was received from Zonal Lab letter no. 1750 dated 16.11.2022. As per the said report the parameter Bio-Assay – (60% survival of fish in 100% effluent after 96 hours.) was not meeting the prescribed general standards.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 24.0pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d;"> Accordingly, an advisory was issued to the HCF to achieve effluent standards prescribed by the Board vide Zonal Office-2 letter no. 113 dated 13.01.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 24.0pt;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d;"> Now, the HCF has applied for obtaining Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with requisite documents for 250 beds in the existing premises.. The hospital has submitted copy of an agreement with common facility of M/s Medicare Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana, authorized by the Board for bed capacity of 250 beds, the agreement made with CBWTF is valid upto 31.03.2028. . The hospital has deposited Rs. 2,50,000/- vide UTR. No. HDFCR52023031891299725 dated 18.03.2023 under Air Act, 1981 & Rs. 2,50,000/- vide UTR. No. HDFCR52023031891310140 dated 18.03.2023 under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate up to 31.03.2028 under both acts</span><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;"> </span><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d;">The HCF was now visited by the undersigned on 31.03.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

The representative of the HCF submitted that they are going to increase the bed capacity to 250 beds in future.</span></p>

Pretreatment arrangement (with sodium hypochlorite) at the laundry section was also available before washing. The effluent generated from the laundry section is being treated through ETP. Further, the liquid waste is being treated through STP after pretreatment with sodium hypochlorite solution. The HCF has provided common outlet of ETP and STP. The treated effluent is being discharged into sewer.</span></p>

The water meter reading during visit on 10.04.2023 was 12242. Thus, the generation of effluent was approx. 64 KLD. The energy meter has also been provided and reading of the same was 03985.2 KWH. The HCF is maintaining the record of water meter energy meter and chemicals used for dosing in ETP properly.</span></p>

As per the said report various parameters pH-7.09, COD- 24.7, BOD-8.14, TSS-6, TDS- 1852, O&G-<1 and Bioassay– 90% fish survival after 96 hrs. in 100% effluent are confirming the prescribed standards.</span></p>
