<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Sir, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 without hearing from Zonal Office, Jalandhar vide letter No. 1293 dated 13.04.2023 regarding t</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">he industry has installed 1 No. wood fired Boiler of capacity 400 kg/day with inadequate stack height. The industry has installed 1 No. DG set of capacity 125 KVA without canopy and the industry has deposited Rs 23000/- i.e Rs. 18000/- under water Act, 1974 and Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme vide UTR.N. 480138191 dated 27.03.2023, Rs 25300/- i.e Rs. 18000/- under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 5000/- under VDS scheme, Rs. 1800/- as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 500/- form fee vide UTR.N. 912444210 dated 27.03.2023. But same is not adequate as the industry already identified by the Board</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has submitted reply <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>of the show cause notice for refusal under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 in which mentioned that : </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">"We are asked to increase the stack height of boiler so we shall do the required in a month. We are also been asked for DG set of 125 KVA, but this is to tell you that this DG set is not in working condition. We are not operating it as of now. We will use it once canopy will be installed on it. Our generator contractor is going through some serious health problem so canopy installation was late. We will use it only when canopy will be installed on it so please give us a month time for this."</span></p>
