CTOA/Varied/ASR/2022/19717142 dated 07/09/2022 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/ASR/2022/19717143 dated 07/09/2022 (under Green Category) for manufacturing of Biodegradable & Compostable Disposable Plastic Glasses, Cups, Sheets & Cutlery and all types of disposable Items @ 2020 Kgs/day, Poly Propylene Food Grade @ 400 Kgs/day & Paper Glass @ 500 Kgs/day by using PP Thermoforming Grade @ 2 T/day, Biodegradable Additive @ 20 Kgs/day, Paper Blank @ 400 Kgs/day, Paper bottom @ 100 Kgs/day & Poly Propylene Granule @ 400 Kgs/day as Raw Materials.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (under Green Category) through OCMMS with required documents for manufacturing of Compostable cups, glasses, sheet, cutlery and all type of disposable items made from corn starch @ 2020 Kgs/day, Packaging material for food item used in bakery/restaurant/hotels etc. @ 1500 Kgs/day & Paper Glass @ 500 Kgs/day by using Granules made from corn starch @ 1000 Kgs/day, Paper Blank @ 400 Kgs/day, Paper bottom @ 100 Kgs/day & Poly Propylene Granule @ 1500 Kgs/day as Raw Materials.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has deposited Rs. 86,400/- vide UTR No. 28588899041DC dated 18.07.2022 & Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. 31617124781DC dated 25.03.2023 as consent fee (including Rs. 16,800/- as Penalty) under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Rs. 86,400/- vide UTR No. 28588875141DC dated 18.07.2022 & Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. 31617103111DC dated 25.03.2023 as consent fee (including Rs. 16,800/- as Penalty) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, which is adequate upto 31/12/2028 under both Acts. The industry has also deposited Rs. 10,800/- vide UTR No. 28588835961DC dated 18.07.2022 as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. 28588912661DC dated 18.07.2022 as an application form fee. The industry has submitted MoA, CA Certificate, Clarification regarding land use pattern issued by MTP, Amritsar vide letter no. 757 dated 26.07.2022, Land documents, manufacturing process, request letter and approved building plan.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The site of the industry was visited by officer of this office on 20/04/2023 and observed that:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry is engaged in the manufacturing of Compostable cups, glasses, sheet, cutlery and all type of disposable items made from corn starch, Packaging material for food item used in bakery/restaurant/hotels etc & Paper Glass by using Granules made from corn starch, Paper Blank, Paper bottom & Poly Propylene Granule as Raw Materials.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has installed 05 no. injection moulding machines for manufacturing food grade plastic container.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has installed 02 no. thermoforming machines for manufacturing food grade plastic container.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has installed 10 no machines for manufacturing paper cups.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has not installed any DG set inside the premises of the industry.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 63pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">Further, the industry has proposed to manufacture Biodegradable & Compostable Disposable Plastic Glasses, Cups, Sheets & Cutlery and all types of disposable Items.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; color: red; background: white;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">In view of the above, if approved:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; padding-left: 80px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">1)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background: white;">The consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry under Green Category up to 31/12/2028 with usual terms and conditions and special condition that the industry shall not manufacture Single Use Plastic items and shall not operate the plant & machinery meant for manufacturing of Single Use Plastic (SUP).</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; padding-left: 80px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">2)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">The industry will comply with the SOPs framed for the Plastic industries by the CPCB.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal; padding-left: 80px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">3)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall not manufacture and sell commercially any compostable or biodegradable plastic item without first getting registration from CPCB.</span></p>
