Considering 25 working days per month, ground water extraction will be 900 KL/month, which is more than 300 KL/month. The subject cited industry has already applied for obtaining permission for ground water extraction from PWRDA Chandigarh on dated 06.04.2023 (application attached herewith) It has not obtained permission from PWRDA. It is pertinent to mention here that as per PWRDA notification dated 27.01.2023, the industries having ground water consumption between 300 to 1,500 cubic metres per month have given 9 months time from the date of notification. And, the subject cited industry has assured to obtain said permission within given time.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: .25in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: Raavi;">In view of the above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted varied 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for production of Round, Bars, Flats etc) @ 18 TPH or Ingots, Billets@ 84 MTD be granted to the industry <strong>upto 31/12/2023</strong> with suitable conditions and special conditions.</span></p> |
