<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Clarification regarding permission for abstraction of ground water has been given by AEE in his note dated 21/04/2023. The subject cited industry has already applied on 06/04/2023 for obtaining permission from PWRDA Chandigarh and as per PWRDA notification dated 27.01.2023, the industries having ground water consumption between 300 to 1,500 cubic metres per month have given 9 months time from the date of notification. And, the subject cited industry has assured to obtain said permission within given time.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%;">It is therefore recommended that varied 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for production of Round, Bars, Flats etc) @ 18 TPH or Ingots, Billets@ 84 MTD be granted to the industry upto 31/12/2023 with suitable conditions and special conditions mentioned in the note of AEE.</span></p>
