<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">The rice sheller is an existing unit, located at Vill. Maloudh, tehsil Payal, District Ludhiana. The Rice Sheller was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide dated 24/03/2022 which is valid upto 23/03/2023 with special condition that the rice sheller shall got analyse its air emission sample after start of its coming shelling season.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">Now the Rice Sheller has applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry was earlier visited by the officer of the Board on 05.03.2022 & observed as under.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><!--[endif]-->The Rice Sheller is complying with the new code of practice.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">Accordingly, Consent to Operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry for one year period subject to the suitable condition that the rice sheller will get analyzed its stack emission samples from Board also in the coming season. The rice mill later submitted the air sampling fees but the samples could not be collected due to office work.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">As such, if approved, Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30/06/2026 subject to suitable conditions and the additional conditions that the industry will inform in writing as and when it comes into operation so that the air emission samples could be collected.</p> |
