<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin-right: .45pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 53.0pt;">The subject cited brick kiln was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2019/11301333 dated 09.10.2019 valid upto 30.09.2029 with conditions mentioned therein.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin-right: .45pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 53.0pt;">Now the subject cited brick kiln has applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin-right: .45pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 53.0pt;">The subject cited brick kiln has deposited adequate consent fee i.e. Rs. 16200/- vide online R no. CLBLN23105602338 dated 15.04.2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 1800/- vide online R no. AXMB230697541799 dated 10.03.2023 other balance fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2029.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin-right: .45pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 53.0pt;">The brick kiln was visited by the officer of this office on 21.04.2023 and it was observed as under:-</p>

<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 23.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The brick kiln has installed keri at approach roads within the premises of the BKO.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 23.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The brick kiln has installed chimney of height more than 30 meters.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 23.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The BKO has installed induced draft Technology with ZIG-ZAG firing arrangement as per technology evolved by CSIR- Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 23.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The brick kiln has submitted DTP, Ludhiana letter no. 2604 dated 26.10.2017 as per which the subject cited brick kiln is allowed to continue operation at the existing location till the Master Plan, Ludhiana, (2007-2031) is valid.</p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 23.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->There is no source of trade effluent only domestic effluent which is discharge onto land for plantaion after septic tank</p>

<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in .45pt .0001pt 0in;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>In view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2029 with usual terms and conditions.</p>
