<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">The HCE has applied for renewal of ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The Board has issued partial modification to earlier Board’s order no. 468 dated 31.08.2021, vide its office order no. 601 dated 16.12.2021 has decided that the HCF upto 50 beds which are discharging there liquid waste into public sewer and operating within MC limits of towns, where terminal sewage treatment plant have been installed, shall be granted consents/ authorization by Punjab Pollution Control Board without installation of individual ETPs, as an interim arrangements/ measures, subject to condition that the HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under Bio-medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any. However, no specific period mentioned in the said orders.</span></p>

The sewer is connected with terminal STP of 29 MLD at Vill. Bahomajra and is in operation.</span></p>
