The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention &<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board. The industry has deposited Rs. 20300/- Vide UTR/No. N140232467359779 dated 20.05.2023 under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 23700/- (Including Rs. 2900/- as NOC fee and Rs. 500/- as application form fee) Vide UTR/No. N140232467340429 dated 20.05.2023 under Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.09.2028<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>A clarification was raised to the industry to submit proof of date of commissioning and building plan. In reply to the clarification, the industry has submitted that “we were doing the manufacturing of parts of sewing machines in our unit by using raw material likes MS round etc and we were doing only machine work like cutting drilling shaping etc. and there was no any furnace or trade effluent etc., and this manufacturing process was exempted category according to list of PPCB. At present Parts of sewing machines, are now almost out dated product and have recession. Further it is submitted we were running our second unit in the name and style M/s Global Malleable having industry ID : R14JAL1263865 at another site, having valid CTOs upto 30.6.2024 due to market scenario we shifted all the machineries of M/s Global Malleables at C-43 Focal Point Jalandhar to M/s Gulati industries recently w.e.f. 1.4.2023 and become orange category unit. The M/s Global Malleable unit is closed down now.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>industry was visited by officer of this office on 24.05.2023 and it was observed that the industry was in<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>operation. The industry has installed one induction furnace of capacity 0.500 TPH with bag filter house as APCD. The industry has installed one shot blast machine with bag filter house as APCD. The industry has not installed any D.G set in its premises. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has submitted building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry is small scale orange category unit and competency lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 7.1pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-hansi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span></strong>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with usual conditions and with special condition that the industry will get its stack emission sample analyzed from Board’s Lab within 01 month.
