Accordingly the industry was issue notice u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 with an opportunity of personal hearing given before the Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana on 10.09.2021. </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">wherein it was decided as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">It is pertinent to mention here that, recently a news was published in the Newspaper regarding the disposal of colored effluent by the industries situated at Bahadurke Road into the MC sewer. Thereafter a list of such industries were received from the officials of the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana through Whatsapp Group (Project Monitoring Committee) and the name of the subject sited industry was also mentioned in the list. Accordingly to verify the latest status, the industry was visited by Er. Bhisham, AEE of this office alongwith Er. Sukhdeep Singh, SDO, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana on 20.01.2023. During the visit industry was found discharging untreated effluent generated from washing of printing screens into MC sewer. Accordingly </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 was issued to the PSPCL authorities to disconnect the electric connection to the industry. </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> In compliance of the decisions the </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">electric connection of the industry has been disconnected by the PSPCL authorities vide TDCO no. 71/820 dated 19.05.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied for fresh of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 <span style="background: white;">for the production of printed t-shirts /cloth panel @ 1000 Numbers/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 0.3 KLD treated effluent is used in screen washing after treatment in ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.9 KLD into MC sewer.</span> The industry has deposited Rs. 33,800/- vide UTR. No. N145232473195341 dated 25.05.2023 (Rs. 21,700/- under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 2900/- NOC fee, Rs. 8700/- late fee penalty and Rs. 500/- as application form fee) and Rs. 30,400/- vide UTR. No. N145232473203772 dated 25.05.2023 (Rs. 21,700/- under Air Act, 1981 & Rs. 8700/- late fee penalty), which are adequate upto 31.03.2028 under both acts. <span style="color: red;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: .25in; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 03.06.2023 and observed that:-</span></p>

As per the results all the parameters are found within the prescribed limits of the Board.</span></p>
