<ul style="margin-top: 0in;" type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: red; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The subject cited contractor has applied for obtaining consents to operate under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, for Sand Mining in the revenue estate of Village Toot and Jhugian Peer Baksh in an area of 20.97 ha Tehsil Patti District Tarn Taran. </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The contractor has submitted a letter from the Director, O/o SEIAA, Punjab bearing no. SEIAA/MS/2023/740 dated 11/05/2023, wherein the permission for carrying out mining has been granted till the period of 30.06.2023 to the Chief Engineer, Department of Mines & Geology, Department of Water Resources, Chandigarh for the Districts SBS Nagar, SAS Nagar and Tarn Taran. </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The contractor has submitted a letter from Chief Engineer, Department of Mines & Geology, Department of Water Resources, Chandigarh bearing no. 3354 dated 09.06.2023 addressed to Superintending Engineer, Drainange cum mining, Amritsar wherein provisional acceptance for mining cluster no 20 comprising of mine toot & Jhugian Peer Baksh in District Tarn Taran vide tender notice no. 01/6A/Tender dated 11.04.2023 has been given to Gurinder Singh Bhatti for carrying out mining operations subject to the conditions mentioned therein. </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The contractor has submitted undertaking wherein mentioning that they are complying with all conditions of SEIAA and conditions by other departments.   </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: red; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The contractor has deposited consent to operate fee of Rs. 14400/- vide UTR No. 218479289 dtd 16/06/2022 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 14400/- vide UTR No. 693129156 dtd 16/06/2023 (including Rs. 14400/- as NOC regularization fee & Rs.500/- as application form fee) under Air Act, 1981, for total cost of project value Rs. 2.32 Crore, which is adequate up to 30/06/2023. </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;">The contractor has submitted revenue record comprising of jamabandi, google location, mine closure plan etc. </li> </ul>                  The industry is complying with the office order no. 193 dated 07.06.2023 of the Board  If approved, the applications of the contract for the consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted with validity up to 30/06/2023, each for operation of sand mining area 20.97 hectare as detailed above for mining of sand @ 310085 MT/Year subject to the suitable conditions along with the followings – 1.            The contractor will make proper demarcation to its sand mining before start of mining process. 2.            The contractor shall strictly comply with teams & conditions of original environment clearance issued vide No. SEIAA/MS/2023/740 dated 11/05/2023. 3.            The contractor will carry out mining process, only within the allowed khasra nos. 4.            The contractor shall comply with the conditions mentioned in the provisional acceptance letter from Chief Engineer, Department of Mines & Geology, Department of Water Resources, Chandigarh bearing no. 3354 dated 09.06.2023 5.            The contractor will get ambient air quality analyzed at various locations from the NABL / MOEF accredited laboratories, in and around the project area and submit the analysis reports to the Board. 6.            The contractor will ensure the transportation of mined material with covered trucks / tractor trolley. 7.            The contractor will submit the details of machinery deployed by it for mining purposes. 8.            The contractor will take adequate measures for control of noise at project area, so as to ensure the noise level within the permissible limits. 9.            The contractor will make arrangement for regular sprinkling of water at vehicle movement area to suppress the dust emissions generated during movement of vehicles.    10.         The contractor will submit the Approved Mining Plan before start of mining activity at site and shall comply with provisions of the Punjab Minor Mineral Rules, 2013 and approved mining plan. 11.         The contractor will submit the Approved Environment Management Plan before start of mining activity at site and shall comply with the conditions of Common Environment Management Plan, approved by the District level committee. 12.         The contractor will make adequate plantation in the nearby area of mining sited 13.         The contractor will make adequate arrangements for dust protection from the various activities. 14.         The contractor will maintain record regarding periodically examination of the workers engaged in the project. 15.         The contractor will submit environmental statement for the financial year ending 31st March in Form 'V' to the Board.
