It is submitted that the industry was granted consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide nos. CTOW/Fresh/MOG/2018/8710232 and CTOA/Fresh/MOG/2018/8710098  dated 27.11.2018 for operation of rice sheller unit for production of raw rice @ 3 TPH with dryer alongwith sortex machine of capacity 3 TPH, for a period upto 30.09.2023, subject to the suitable conditions mentioned therein.                 Now the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consents under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for operation of rice sheller unit for production of raw rice @ 3 TPH with dryer, alongwith sortex machine of capacity 3 TPH for manufacturing of sorted rice. Details of the case are as under: 1.    The industry has submitted CA certificate as on dated 31.03.2023 regarding its gross fixed assets of Rs. 93.38 lakhs. The industry has deposited Rs. 28,000/- vide UTR.no. N143232470265557 dated 23.05.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 28,000/- vide UTR.no. N143232470255360 dated 23.05.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 respectively, which is adequate for a period up to 30.09.2028 under the both Acts. It is pertinent to mention here that the Board vide office order no. CEE(HQ)/F.No. 957/2016/59 dated 02.02.2016 decided to grant auto renewal of consent to operate / establish to orange & green category of industries without the need for visiting the site / premises of the industry in order to facilitate the industry / ease of doing business in the State. As per this order, the data, processes & pollution control measures installed by the industry shall be verified at later stage by visiting the site as per inspection guidelines. Further, submitted that no complaint has been received against the industry in this office and no action is lying pending against the industry as per file record.   Keeping in view of the above may if approved: Renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.09.2028 for operation of rice sheller unit for production of raw rice @ 3 TPH with dryer and sortex machine of capacity 3 TPH for manufacturing of sorted rice, subject to the suitable conditions and following specific condition: 1.    This consent is granted to the industry subject to the submission of analysis report of emission samples collected and analyzed by the Boards lab viz-a-viz achievement of the prescribed emission standards applicable to rice shellers. The industry shall submit analysis report of emission sample analyzed from the Board’s lab to this office, in the upcoming paddy season 2023-24. 3.    The industry will always comply with the guidelines issued by Deptt. of Science Technology & Environment Govt. of Punjab vide Order No. 10/48/2004-STE (4)/932 dated 15.10.2013. 4.    The industry is bound to upgrade / replace its existing APCD as and when asked by the Board. 5.    In case the industry plans to install any DG set within its premises, it shall install acoustic enclosure on the same as per the guidelines prescribed by the Board.   Competency : EE RO Faridkot
