<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #5d5d5d;">Respected Sir, kindly peruse the reply submitted the Regional Office, Mohali vide online dated 20.06.2023 w.r.t. observations raised by this office vide online note dated 19.06.2023, regarding the operation status of CETP M/s Bantech. In its reply, the RO has replied as under:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #5d5d5d;">"It is submitted that since there is no alternative arrangement for the industry to dispose off its trade effluent other than to CETP operator M/s bantech, Channalon and at present the CETP is lying closed for maintenance since 28.05.2023". Hence, </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #5d5d5d;">Accordingly, the RO has recommended that a show-cause notice for the refusal of the consent to operate applied under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 be issued to the industry, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing."</span></p>
