<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 72pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Blankets @ 3000 Pcs./Day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>which was valid upto 30.06.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 72pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 72pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">In continuation to e-noting no. 16630340 and 19691345, it is submitted that the industry was earlier visited by the committee constituted by Hon’ble NGT on 13/12/2019. Considering the report, interim Environmental Compensation of Rs 10 lacs were imposed to the industry and the proceedings were conveyed to the industry vide letter no. 1731 dated 17/06/2020. The industry has not submitted the Environmental Compensation till date and has failed to comply with the decisions taken during personal hearing before worthy Chairman of the Board.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 63pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">The industry was again visited by CPCB official on 24.6.2021 and O&G (22.8 mg/ltr against 10 mg/lt) was found exceeding effluent standards. The industry was recently visited by the officers of the Board on 18/05/2023 and treated effluent samples were collected and the same were found within the prescribed limits of the Board as per the Zonal Lab endst no. 1576 dated 01/06/2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 63pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">The Bank Guarantee of Rs 10 lacs bearing no. 0242ILG000711 dated 15/06/2011 was expired on 14/06/2012. The reminder letter was issued to the industry vide this office letter no. 447 dated 20/02/2023. However, the industry has not submitted the extended Bank Guarantee till date.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 63pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by undersigned on 04/07/2023 to process the consent application of adjacent unit whose trade effluent was being discharged into this industry’s ETP. The aeration was found closed during visit. However, the samples were not collected as the same were collected recently on 18/05/2023. The industry has not obtained Authorization under Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for empty barrells and solid waste management was found not in order. The report regarding this has been moved separately through e-noting.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 63pt; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">In view of above, if approved,</p>
