<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The Add. Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-1, Ludhiana brought out that the industry is small scale red category unit and was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH2/2018/7629471 dated 11/06/2018 expired on 30/06/2023 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH2/2018/7629518 dated 11/06/2018 expired on 30.06.2023 for manufacturing of Cycle parts/auto parts @ 01 TPD. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has applied for renewal of consents under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry is engaged in the process of electroplating for which it has signed agreement with CETP Operator (M/s JBR Technology Pvt Ltd (Unit-I), Focal Point, Phase -8, Ludhiana) @ 5000 Ltr/month for lifting of trade effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has not submitted record of electroplating process regarding water consumption as well as effluent lifted to CETP for last six months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry is engaged in manufacturing of Cycle parts/auto parts @ 01 TPD and failed to intimate the source of air pollution i.e. forging furnaces / D.G sets.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, with hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 31.07.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%; tab-stops: 36.0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"> Sh. Jai Kishore Sharma, Representative of the industry attended the hearing and submitted written reply which was taken on record. He stated that they are maintaining record regarding water consumption as well as effluent lifted to CETP. He further requested to grant consent of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; tab-stops: 36.0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"> After hearing the industry, officer of the Board and considering material facts on record, the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board decided that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry shall get its trade effluent lifted to authorized CETP Operator regularly and shall maintain record regarding water consumption, effluent lifted to CETP Operator. </span></p>
