<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is submitted that the rice mill was granted consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide nos. CTOW/Fresh/FZR/2018/7076610 and CTOA/Fresh/FZR/2018/7076549 dt. 09.02.2018 for production of raw rice with dryer @ 5 TPH with sortex machine of capacity @ 5 TPH, valid upto 31.03.2023, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consents under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS with same capacity. Details of the case are as under:</span></p>

Accordingly, the industry has deposited consent fee of Rs. 30800/- vide R. NO. </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">N080232380795415 </span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">dated 21.03.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 30800/- vide R. NO. </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">N080232380773096<strong> </strong></span><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">dated 21.03.2023 under the Air Act, 1981, which are adequate upto 30.09.2028 including penalty under both Acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has submitted compliance report of conditions imposed in previous consents under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Punjab Pollution Control Board in order to facilitate the industries vide office order no. 59 dt. 02.02.2016 has decided that renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 will be granted to the industries (Orange/Green Category- Small Scale) without visiting the unit within 7 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, it is intimated that the industry will be visited during tour to that area within two months to check the compliance under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 and report will be submitted accordingly.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, no complaint is pending against the industry and it was found complying with consent conditions as well as code of practice during last visit of officer of this office. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Keeping in view of the above may if approved:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 for operation of the industry for manufacturing of raw rice with dryer @ 5 TPH with sortex machine of capacity @ 5 TPH, subject to the suitable conditions and a special condition that the industry will get its emissions analyzed from Board's lab during upcoming paddy season 2023-24 and submit the report within one month after re-commissioning of the industry. </span></p> |
