<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -49.5pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no: CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18768716 dated 20.06.2022 valid upto 30.09.2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no: CTOA/Fresh/LDH3/2022/18310226 dated 25.04.2022 valid upto 30.09.2024 for bottling of liquor @ 4500 liter/day. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 85.5pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -49.5pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981. The industry has submitted C.A. certificate dated 04.08.2023 and as per this C.A. certificate, value of fixed assets of the industry is 82.83 lacs including the value of plant & machinery as 41.48 lacs. The industry has deposited Rs. 9,600/- under the Water Act, 1974 vide UTR No. 000138219549 dated 07.08.2023 and Rs. 18000/- under the Air Act, 1981 vide UTR No. 000138219460 dated 07.08.2023. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate for period upto 30.09.2028 under both acts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 85.5pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -49.5pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 30.08.2023 and the date of the industry was found locked. Thereafter, and the industry was again visited on 19.09.2023 and it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -31.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is bottling plant and engaged in bottling of liquor only. During both visits, the industry was not in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -31.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed 03 no. storage tanks for the procurement of ENA spirit and also installed 05 no. blending silo, 02 no. liquor filling machines, printing dye machines, sealing machine. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -31.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed two bottle washing machines in which bottles are washed with water. The waste water generated from the washing process is collected in an underground collection tank. The industry has installed ETP for treatment of water generated from washing section. The industry has provided plantation in small plot of size 100 yards. The industry has now also provided new plantation in an area of 150 yards at backside of the shed of the industry. The industry has provided pipeline for discharge of treated effluent in both plantation areas. The industry has provided separate energy meter with ETP, however, flow meter not provided with ETP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -31.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed a D.G. set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy and stack of adequate height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 85.5pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -49.5pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thus, the industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 85.5pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -49.5pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in -57.15pt .0001pt -31.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">A)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 subject to suitable conditions.</span></p> |
