<p style="text-align: justify;">The project proponent was issued notice with opportunity of personal hearing before Hon’ble Chairman of the Board on 25.01.2023, wherein it was decided that:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The Environmental Compensation be imposed to the project proponent for above said violation under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and non-achieving the prescribed standards of discharge.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall calculate Environmental Compensation (EC) for the no. of days of violations, get it verified from EC Committee constituted by the Board within 07 days. A separate order for the imposition of EC shall be passed, accordingly.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The GLADA Authorities shall be written not issue any new sewerage connection till the commissioning of new STP of capacity 60 MLD at Balloke and to nominate a nodal officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer for the matters related to Punjab Pollution Control Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be granted to the project proponent for six months with special condition that the project proponent shall take concrete steps to reduce the discharge into sewer by way of optimizing the water supply, utilization of the treated effluent within the project premises etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall visit the project to carry out re-sampling and send the report/ recommendations, after one month. 5. Further action in the matter will be taken on the receipt of report from Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The point wise compliance of hearing decisions are as under;-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->Regional Office has calculated EC vide e-office no. 163835 and same was approved by the Higher Authority and now pending in SEE (HQ-1) for verification</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The EC was imposed for non achieving the prescribed standards of discharge and now the Regional Office collected the effluent sample on 17.05.23 and as per analysis result the concentration of various parameters at the outlet of STP are found to be pH @ 7.9, BOD@ 16mg/l, TDS @ 410 mg/l, TSS @ 10mg/l, COD @ 48 mg/l, Oil & Grease @ BDL are found to be within prescribed limit fix by the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->As per Regional Office report, the PP has adopted methods to reduce the discharge into sewer by way of optimizing the water supply, utilization of the treated effluent within the project premises. The PP is utilizing treated waste water now more inside the project premises by increasing the treated water through dual plumbing into reusing in flushing system, washing of floors and roads, for car washing, for cleaning of basement area and in peripherical plants of the project. Further, PP is utilizing the treated waste water into garden through sprinkler system.</p>
