<p style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry was granted consents under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 both valid upto 30.06.2023 for trade Effluent @ 0.6 KLD - Into Solar Evaporation Pond after ETP and Domestic Effluent @7.0 KLD - Onto land for plantation after septic tank.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974. </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 13.09.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

For the purpose of formulation, the industry has installed 9 mixers and agitators have been providing for mixing of chemicals /solvent. One packaging and bottling line has been installed for filling of product in the bottles.</span></p>

All the products of the industry are mixed in petroleum based solvent, so they seldom require washing or cleaning. Further each Mixer is dedicated for one type of product and don’t need cleaning.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> Presently there is no generation of trade effluent, only domestic effluent is generated, which is discharged on to land for plantation after septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">For the treatment of sullage water/hand washing water specifically for staff working in the process shed, the industry has now provided electric evaporator. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry has applied authorization under Hazardous Wastes (Management Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 which is in process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">As per DTP Ludhiana letter no. 3220 dated 15.10.2012, the site of the industry falls in industrial zone, as per Master plan Ludhiana (2007-21).</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">Deposited consent fee is adequate upto 30.06.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In view of above it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with special condition that the industry shall not do washing process within its premises and shall not generate any trade effluent and discharge only domestic effluent onto land for plantation.</span></p>
