<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The industry was given personal hearing before the SEE, Zonal Office-1, Ludhiana on 08.09.2023 w.r.t. show cause notice for violation of the provisions under Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981, where in, it was decided as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">1. <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The industry shall get its trade effluent lifted to the authorized re-processor regularly and shall maintain record regarding water consumption in the process, effluent lifted to re-processor.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">2. <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The industry shall submit a certificate from Competent Authority regarding land use of the area.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">3. <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The industry shall apply for obtaining consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, within 07 days.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">4. <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The Environmental Engineer, Regional office-1, Ludhiana shall verify submission made by the industry and submit report alongwith recommendations, within 07 days.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981</span><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">.</span></p>

The industry has not submitted analysis report.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted DTP Ludhiana letter no. 1847 dated 21.07.2023, as per which, the site of the industry falls in industrial zone, as per Master plan Ludhiana (2007-31).</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">Deposited consent fee is adequate upto 31.03.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In view of above it is recommended that consent to operate under Air Act, 1981may be granted to the industry for six months with special condition that the industry shall submit the analysis report of air emissions from Board's lab within one month, please.</span></p>
