<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> As per above said notes made by AEEs. It is intimated that the industry was discharging untreated effluent of the dyeing/slurry from the collection tank of the industry in the plot located in front of the industry through a flexible pipe attached with an inbuilt pump motor in 03 Katcha pits. As the industry was doing major violations, but the representative of the industry informed that he was unaware of this activity. Thus, as per the site situation, the industry was guided to bring back the untreated effluent into the collection tank of the industry to avoid further degradation of the environment. Further, the industry representative assures that they will bring back the untreated effluent back into the collection tank and the industry has submitted its compliance in this regard, and the same was verified by this office on 22.06.2023 as mentioned in a note dated 22.09.2023.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As the industry was violating the provisions of the Water Act, of 1974.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is recommended that the SCN for refusal CTO under the Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry for this activity as mentioned above.</p> |
