<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">& CTOW/Renewal/HSP/2021/17161907 dated 29.10.201, which is valid upto 30.09.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Now, the BKO has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 through OCMMS. The brick kiln has already deposited Rs. 23200/- vide R.no. 63/5293 dated 20.07.2020 as Water consent fee, Rs. 23200/- vide R.no. 62/5293 dated 20.07.2020 as Air consent fee, Rs. 1800/- vide R.no 61/5293 dated 20.07.2020 as NOC regularization fees, Rs. 500/- vide R.no 60/5293 dated 20.07.2020 as application form fees.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">The kiln has provided a induced draft technology with zig-zag firing and submitted provisional certificate issued by M/s PSCST,Chandigarh vide no. PSCST/CC/67 dated 25.04.2019 regarding installation of Induced draft zig zag technology mentioning that the length of central island is 283' which is more than 245' has decided in the Punjab Pollution Control Board, meeting on 29.10.2018. The BKO is discharging its D.E. onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. 4. The consent fees deposited by the brick kiln is adequate upto 30.12.2024 under Air Act, 1981 and 31.07.2026 under Water Act, 1974. It is pertinent to mention here that as per Head Office letter no. PPCB 12937 dated 07.06.2021, the Competent Authority of the Board has decided that: 1. Consents to such brick kiln having length of central island more than 245’ shall be extended for further for a period of one year/till study/monitoring by the technical providers (whichever is earlier) and further decision shall be finalized in the matter. 2. SEE, ZO Bathinda shall co-ordinate with the technical providers to carry out monitoring in 3 - 4 brick kilns in Bathinda and Faridkot of varying length (more than 245’) Recommendations</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Keeping in view of the above, if approved, consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 and Water Act, 1974 may be granted for the period of one year i.e. upto 30.09.2024 subject to the suitable conditions along with following special conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">a. The consent is subject to the orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court for the States of Punjab & Haryana / Hon’ble National Green Tribunal or other Judicial Authority in the cases pending or being filed with regard to the subject matter of the office order. b. The consent is subject to the performance evaluation of new technology adopted by the brick kilns.b. The kiln owner will ensure the implementation of recommended operating practices as per the Feasibility Report. d. The brick kiln will pave the movement area around kiln with Bricks and shall provide proper sampling arrangements with the stack within 01 month. e. The brick kiln shall not use of pet coke as fuel in its brick kiln. f. The BKO will comply with the directions u/s 18 (1) (b) of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 issued by CPCB. h. The BKO shall comply with the conditions mentioned in Head Office letter no. 12937 dated 07.06.2021</span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; color: #5d5d5d; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">.</span></p>
