<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted authorization under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 as recycler vide no. RO/PTA/Plastic/2013/F-32 dated 30.10.2019, valid upto 30.09.2021. The industry has not applied Plastic Waste registration till date.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">In view of above, may if approved, recommendations be sent to SEE, ZO-1, Patiala for renewal consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30.09.2028 subject to suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board and the following special conditions:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry will apply and obtain registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 as recycler on Central Pollution Control Board, EPR portal.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry will ensure not to supply plastic granules as raw material to producer for manufacturing single use plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall ensure that there is no usage of single use plastic-thermocol disposable items such as water bottler/water pouches/water cups/cups, plates, glasses, forks, spoons, straw etc. And single use decorating materials made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material on its premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';"> The industry shall ensure to comply with the provisions of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 while conducting functions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: -1cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastes as per the provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. </span></p> |
