<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry is covered under large scale red category unit and was granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981, valid upto 31/03/2023 for the operation of boiler of capacity 08 TPH, one boiler of capacity 3.5 TPH, one thermopack of capacity 1000 U and one thermopack of capacity 25 Lacs/Kcal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act 1981 and the consent fee applied by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2028.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The site of the industry visited by the AEE of RO on 14.09.2023 and it was observed that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 08 TPH attached with multi cyclone followed by double alkali scrubber along with adequate stack height. Rice husk is being used as fuel during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 3.5 TPH (standby) attached with separate cyclone with common double alkali scrubber along with adequate stack height. Rice husk is being used as fuel during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one thermopack of capacity 1,00,000 Kcal/hour (use as and when required) attached with twin cyclone followed by double alkali scrubber along with adequate stack height and Rice husk is being used as fuel during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed one thermopack of capacity 25,00,000 Kcal/hour (use as and when required) attached with twin cyclone followed by double alkali scrubber along with adequate stack height and Rice husk is being used as fuel during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 02 D.G sets of capacities 500 KVA each, which are equipped with canopy & adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->7. <!--[endif]-->Sample of air emission was collected on 23.12.2022 from porthole of stack of boiler 08 TPH after APCD. As per analysis report, the concentration of SPM=140 mg/Nm3 against 500 mg/Nm3 is within the permissible limits prescribed by the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->8. <!--[endif]-->The industry has executed an agreement with M/s Guru Traders, Ludhiana for lifting and disposal off the ash generated from the industry in low lying area.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is complying with the provisions of the Air Act, 1981 and no action is pending against the industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of Regional Office report, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions and with special condition that :-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->a. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall get its stack emission samples analysed from the Board for fuel pet coke within one month.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->b. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall prior inform the Board before using the pet-coke and shall adopt guidelines for usage of Pet Coke for Boilers/ Furnaces issued by the Board vide No. (HQ-1)/Pet Coke/F-200/2010/478 dated 20.07.2010 and its subsequent amendments.</p>
