<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was afforded an opportunity of personal hearing before CEE, Ludhiana on 11.09.2023, wherein it was decided as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN">1.<span lang="EN-IN"> </span></span><span lang="EN-IN">The consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as sought by the industry be refused.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN">2.<span lang="EN-IN"> </span></span><span lang="EN-IN">Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for its closure be issued to the industry alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Proceedings were issued vide letter no. 5783 dated 22.09.2023 (attached herewith).</p>
