<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has reported that earlier, the hotel was granted consent to operate under </span><span lang="EN-US">Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/ASR/2018/8787147 dated 29/10/2018 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/ASR/2018/8787316 dated 29/10/2018, which are valid up to 30/09/2023 for Hotel @ 52 Rooms, domestic effluent @ 40 KLD and the discharge of the same is into public sewer after treatment.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">Now, the project proponent has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for same capacity.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The industry has deposited Rs. 1,20,000/- vide UTR/Reference No. N269232656804791 dated 26/09/2023 as consent to operate fee under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 1,20,500/- vide UTR/Reference No. N269232656789324 dated 26/09/2023 as consent to operate fee under Air Act, 1981 (including Rs. 500/- as an application form fee), which is valid up to 30/09/2028 under both Acts. The industry has submitted Rs. 8400/- vide UTR/Reference No. N269232656789003 dated 26/09/2023 as NOC regularization fee.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The industry has uploaded CA Certificate, Compliance of previous granted consents etc.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> It is pertinent to mention here that Board issued order vide no. CEE(HQ)F.No. 957/2016/59 dated 2/2/2016 regarding to grant of auto renewal consent to establish/consent to operate to the Orange & Green category industries. Now in continuation to above orders Board has issued fresh orders vide no. 329 dated 14/9/2023 regarding to Auto generation of renewal of consent to establish / operate / Authorization of any category of Small-Scale industries / projects / Health Care Facilities (up to 50 beds) and Hazardous Waste generating industries.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> It is further intimated that the hotel is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that t</span>he consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 30/09/2028 with usual terms and conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit the analysis report of effluent within 02 months.</p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that t</span><span lang="EN-US">he consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 30/09/2028 with usual terms and conditions along with special conditions under:-</span></p>
<p><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]--><!--[endif]--><!--[endif]--><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall maintain records of fresh water consumption and operation of STP on daily basis.</p>
<p>2. <!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
<p>3. <!--[endif]-->The Project Proponent shall develop the vermi-composting/composting to manage the bio-degradable solid wastes.</p>
<p>4. <!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</p>
<p>5. <!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that hazardous waste (used oil, used batteries) are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized recyclers registered with MoEF & CC / CPCB and having valid operating license of Punjab Pollution Control Board.</p>
<p>6. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic - thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches / water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises as same are banned from 01/07/2022 as per notification of Govt. of India as well as Punjab.</p>
<p>7. T<span lang="EN-US">he hotel shall submit the analysis report of effluent within 02 months.</span></p>
