<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .75in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category washing unit and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH3/2022/19863407 dated 27.10.2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH3/2022/19863408 dated 27.10.2022 for dyeing and washing of polyester @ 03 MT/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 80 KLD onto land for plantation after ETP and domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank, which were expired on 26.10.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .75in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for dyeing and washing of polyester @ 03 MT/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 80 KLD onto land for plantation after ETP and domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD onto land for plantation after septic tank. The industry had already deposited Rs. 29,700/- vide R. no. 969915771 dated 04.10.2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 29,700/- vide R. no. 860402860 dated 04.10.2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Rs. 5400/- vide R. no. 121744518 dated 20.10.2022 as NOC fee, which are adequate upto 30.06.2030 under both acts.</span></p>

The industry has provided plantation in an area of about 1.5 acres, which is adequate to manage the discharge.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 3 TPH with twin cyclone separator as APCDs with adequate stack. Agricultural waste was found stored for using as fuel in boiler. APCD was in line with boiler section and is also in operational condition.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for the period of one year with the special condition that the industry shall got analyzed its effluent as well as air emission samples from the Board’s lab within this period.</span></p> |
