The industry has granted consent to establish (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 & under the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Metal Rolls @ 9.75 MTD & Turning/Runner & Riser @ 4.80 MTD with induction furnace of capacity 3 TPH with suitable conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Metal Rolls @ 9.75 MTD & Turning/Runner & Riser @ 4.80 MTD with induction furnace of capacity 3 TPH with requisite documents and adequate fee.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has deposited consent fee of Rs.54000/- each vide<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Common R. No. 14/5581 dated 23/11/2023 under water & air acts against the against the un-depreciated of fixed assets of Rs. 372.81 Lacs as per CA Certificate dated 08/11/2023, which was adequate upto <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">30/09/2028</strong> as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018.</span></p>

CGWA-21/6/2020-CGWA-101 dated 06/04/2022 “that it shall be mandatory for the Project Proponent abstracting ground water to obtain NOC from CGWA or the concerned State/ UT Ground Water Authority as the case made be in the compliance condition in consent to operate and consent to establish issued by the State Pollution Control Board.” Accordingly, the Board vide letter no. 1955-57 dated 18/01/2023 has informed all the officers of the Board in continuation to earlier circular no. CEE(HQ)/2018/7956-84 dated 03/03/2018 and 768-97 dated 13/01/2021 to ensure the compliance of the said directions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 107%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>PWRDA vide notification dated 27.01.2023 has exempted units from obtaining any permission of the authority, which are extracting not more than 300 cubic meters of ground water per month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 107%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>In the subject cited case, the industry has mentioned ground water extraction @ 4.0 KLD. Considering 30 working days in a month during season, so ground water extraction will be 120 KL/month, which is less than 300 KL/month. As such the unit is not required permission from PWRDA. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 107%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry falls under the <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">industrial zone</strong> as per Master Plan of Khanna.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 107%; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>In view of the above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted 'consent to operate' under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Metal Rolls @ 9.75 MTD & Turning/Runner & Riser @ 4.80 MTD with induction furnace of capacity 3 TPH i.e. upto <strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">30/09/2024</strong> with suitable conditions and additional conditions that:</span></p>
